Blackout Monday Analysis

Peace Family!

I had a conversation with my brethren this morning about Blackout Monday. My first response was I wanted to know what it was all about. So I did my research. Basically it's a day to send a message to everyone that if Black people don't start getting better treatment in this country by the police and the system in general, we will hit em where it hurts...the pocket. I'm down with any organized action that is progressive and effective. I question whether or not this action is effective. Especially since everyone will go back to their normal routines after today. I think that encouraging EVERYONE, Black or not, to file a complete complaint with their local police stations if they have experienced in the last 6 months up til now, any form of brutality or mistreatment at the hands of police wherever it took place. In my opinion, this is the way to get Justice for Michael Brown, eric Garner, Ramarley Graham, Oscar Grant, or themselves. Supporting only Black owned businesses is good for any day and should be a common practice regardless. And I also found some White people who are participating in Blackout Monday. So clearly its not a racist action. Do something...
